New SEND Ambassadors

The Bromfords School and Sixth Form College are celebrating their two new SEND Ambassadors.

Year 11 Student Lewis Dorney and Year 8 student Frederick Emerson have earned the role of SEND Ambassadors.

This prestigious award is in recognition of the time and support Lewis gives every day in the ASC provision.   Lewis ensures that all students in the provision feel safe, are helped to develop their social skills and are supported to manage their anxiety.  This is a huge contribution of time and care for someone who himself faces social interaction challenges due to his autism.

Frederick’s nomination was in recognition for being such a great ambassador of our school.  Frederick’s work around improving schools experiences for those with special education needs has been county wide.  Frederick has spoken in front of many audiences ranging from parents support groups to education and health conferences.  He always speaks with passion and a desire to inspire change and better outcomes for young people, which is a skill beyond his years.
