Required for September 2019, an enthusiastic and ambitious Newly Qualified Teacher to join our English department. An early start in July 2019 would be considered.
The Bromfords School and Sixth Form College is a school where students achieve well and are part of a strong, caring community. Our school’s ambition was recognised by Ofsted in May 2016 when it was stated that, “School leaders are ambitious. They want the school to become outstanding and they are doing the right things to achieve this.”
At GCSE, 48% of students achieved a 9-4 pass in both English and Maths; 64% of students gained a ‘standard pass’ in English and 43% of students achieved a ‘strong’ pass in English (grade 5 or above). Attainment 8 in English was 4.25 in comparison to the whole school figure of 3.85 with overall progress in English measured at -0.4.
Our English Department consists of eight full-time and one part-time English teachers assisted by one additional staff member who also teaches drama, Two English Instructors and two subject specific Learning Support Assistants.
