Students collect A level and BTEC results – August 2019

Students and staff at The Bromfords School and Sixth Form College are once again delighted to be celebrating some outstanding A level and BTEC examination results. Provisional indications suggest that we have maintained our overall average grade of C at A2 level. Equally pleasing is the notable increase in the number of students securing three or more level 3 qualifications.

Of particular note are the achievements of Keegan Finch who has achieved 3 A’s in Physics, Chemistry and Maths and will go on to study Chemical Engineering at Loughborough University.  Samuel Bryan who will also read Medicine at Hull York University. Jack Wallace will start his Higher Level Apprenticeship at KPMG after receiving an A in Economics and D*D* in Business. Nicola Bourne has already begun her apprenticeship at RSM, and Billy Hillyer will soon be taking up a position at Lloyds.

Head teacher Martin Coulson commented:

“We are delighted with our A-Level and BTEC results this year and are immensely proud of the achievements of all of our students. Our students and staff have had to work especially hard over two years to return these outcomes. This is particularly true with the Technical Awards where we have seen significant improvements along with the strong historic performance in vocational courses continuing. Students and staff have returned results that do themselves, and their school, great credit. We are delighted to see so many of our students succeeding in gaining access to their first choice destination next year, whether this is at university, a professional apprenticeship or the workplace.

I would like to congratulate a terrific group of students, their families and their teachers who have all worked so hard to achieve these results. We all share their pride and excitement as they embark on the next phase of their lives and would also like to thank them for their contribution to school life during their time with us.”
