The Bromfords School and Sixth Form College GCSE results – August 2019

Following the successes of last week’s A level and BTEC results, it is now the turn of our Year 11 students to celebrate their achievements.

Whilst we are very proud of the achievements of all of our students, within our results there are some notable individual performances that deserve particular mention.  Leading the way were: Brendan Grimble two grade 9s, three grade 8s, two grade 7s, two grade 6s and one grade 5; Jessica Chinwo one grade 8, seven grade 7s, one grade 6 and one BTEC pass; Mitchell O’Keefe five grade 7s, four grade 6s and one BTEC Merit; Eleanor Hammond one grade 9, three grade 7s, three grade 6s, one grade 5, one grade 4 and a BTEC Merit; Melissa Ward one grade 8, three grade 7s, three grade 6s and three grade 5s.

Many of our students will be re-joining us in the Sixth Form in the weeks ahead and we look forward to continuing to support them through their studies. Others will leave to pursue alternative courses and opportunities and they do so with our best wishes and our thanks for their contribution to the school over the last five years.

Headteacher, Martin Coulson, commented:

“It gives me huge pleasure to congratulate all of our students on their achievements.  The success of our students is down to their hard work, resilience and family support – we are extremely proud of them all.  These results are also a reflection on the teachers at The Bromfords School and Sixth Form College who, year after year, give huge amounts of additional time, support and guidance whenever it is needed.  I remain very privileged to be leading this school community.  I am so pleased that so many students at GCSE and A level can now pursue their first choices into University, Sixth Form, apprenticeships or employment.”
