I am sure you can appreciate, there is a great deal to take in from this evening’s announcement from the government regarding school closures and exams.
We are all thinking particularly of Year 11 & 13 who have been informed that all GCSE and A-level examinations due to take place this summer, have been suspended and that students would be credited for their learning in some other way. We will ensure we continue to support them through these difficult circumstances.
As we receive more information tomorrow we anticipate being able to update parents further.
A reminder that the school remains closed on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th March for students in Years 7, 8 and 9 due to staffing shortages. For Years 10, 11, 12 and 13 pupil attendance for these two days is expected to continue as normal within the COVID-19 Public Health England guidance.
