Parent/Carer,
Thank you for your ongoing support this week. The school remains ‘closed’ for all students in line with government policy. We do still do not yet know the duration of the school ‘closure’ and will seek to keep parents informed as and when the situation changes.
Students in Years 7, 8, 9 & 10 and Year 12 should continue to learn at home accessing https://www.bromfords.essex.sch.uk/remote-learning/ and our Edulink platform; staff will be updating work and tasks set on these platforms regularly. Please note that due to staff shortages and working patterns during this period of closure, the school’s telephones are not currently manned. If you have an enquiry, please direct it via email to office@bromfords.essex.sch.uk.
The school remains ‘open’ Monday to Friday to provide supervision for the children of ‘key workers’ and for students supported with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) or those who have a social worker. Please remember that even if you are a parent that falls into one of these categories, if your child is able to stay at home, they should. From Monday 30th March, please note our altered opening hours of 9.00am to 2.00pm.
For any student who does attend school, unfortunately also from Monday 30th March we are no longer able to provide a catering service and students should bring their own food and drink with them.
Please stay safe over the weekend and continue to follow NHS guidance on self-isolation and social distancing.
Regards
