Jack Petchey Awards Evening

Last night was the Jack Petchey Awards Evening at Towngate Theatre where our student and leader award winners picked up their medallions for their achievements last year.  It was a fantastically positive evening that reminds us of the brilliant work that goes on in and around the school and allows us to celebrate with them.

We had 9 student award winners that we had selected, plus two of our students (Lewis Cook and Malin Thompson) were recognised by other organisations as well as Lucy receiving her leader award.

The school was also represented by the Bromfords Theatre Company, who produced an excellent mash up of some of the songs from Matilda, and credit must go to Gabby for putting that all together as well as including recent recruits to the drama club from year 7!  The singing and performance that they put on gave me goosebumps and really does showcase the strength of the school.  It takes an immense amount of courage to perform on a big stage in front of a large number of people so please do have a chat to the kids.
