Year 7 students of The Bromfords School and Sixth Form College took part in the National UK Finals of the Youth Rocketry Competition, held in Grantham last week. The students excelled in their presentation of their rocket design securing a score of 90% in their presentation and 70% in their Rocket Design Log Book. Whilst the students were not overall winners of the event, they certainly had a lot to celebrate and all have expressed their intention to enter again and complete the unfinished business from this year of launching their final design rocket.
Over 100 teams took part, our group of year 7 students were the youngest (individually and as a team) to compete. They finished in the top 20 from across the UK.
