At Bromfords, we believe in celebrating both academic excellence and achievements beyond the classroom. Our Reward Scheme is designed to recognise and encourage students who demonstrate commitment, talent, and effort in various areas of life.

House Badges
House badges are awarded each term to three students from each House who exemplify each of our core values: Achieve, Enrich and Prepare. The badges are presented by their Head of House.
Attendance Rewards & 'Golden Tickets'
Students with outstanding attendance records will be rewarded for their commitment. Certificates and 25 merits are awarded half-termly by Heads of Year to students with 100% attendance. Termly badges are also awarded for 100% attendance: Bronze Badge – 1 Term Silver Badge – 2 Terms Gold Badge – 3 Terms
Students who achieve 100% attendance for a half term are also rewarded with a Canteen Golden Ticket Fast Pass to bypass the queue - for 2 weeks the following half term. One of our most popular rewards!
Subject Ambassadors
Subject Ambassadors are students who show exceptional achievement and endeavour in a particular subject. As an ambassador, you will represent your subject at school events, support your peers, and contribute to the subject’s success. These badges are incredibly rare (maximum of 14 are given out per year per subject) at Celebration Evening.
Reading Badges
Reading is a key to unlocking knowledge. Students who demonstrate a strong commitment to reading, whether through participation in reading programs or by achieving personal reading goals, can earn Reading Badges.
Sports & Performing Arts Awards
Students are awarded half or full colour badges for showing commitment, by consistently representing the school in sports competitions and performing in shows. Half Colour in Year 9 and Full Colour in year 11
Jack Petchey Awards
The Jack Petchey Award is given to students who go above and beyond in showing leadership, community involvement, and personal development. This prestigious award is a testament to your positive impact on the school and wider community.
Duke of Edinburgh
Students participating in the Duke of Edinburgh program recognises the successful completion of four key areas: volunteering in the community, physical development, enhancing skills and planning and completing an Expedition. There are 3 levels that can be achieved: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Completing the Duke of Edinburgh award is a significant achievement that highlights your dedication to personal growth and community service.
Our Duke of Edinburgh co-ordinator is Miss Philpott who will be able to provide more information regarding this program.
Headteacher Awards
Each week, teachers nominate students who during the week have demonstrated our core values of either Achieve, Enrich or Prepare. The student meets the Headteacher, awarded a badge, certificate and letter sent home.
Star Postcards
Star postcards are given out every half-term. They are given out by your subject teachers for every subject you study. You will receive one if your teacher recognises you as a subject star.
Rewards Certificates & Badges
Students are awarded a star badge and certificate termly by their Head of Year for:
Bronze – 600 Merits
Silver – 700 Merits
Gold – 850 Merits
Positive Certificate and 50 Merits – 0 Demerits
