Jack Petchey Awards

March: Olayinka
Olayinka took part in the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge training and came runners up. She could have sat back and been happy but she carried on practicing her speech, attending training to support the winner and the school. She is an outstanding student who is always looking to support others, to push them and leave a positive imprint on everyone that she meets.

April: Benjamin
Ben is an exceptionally well mannered young man. From the very start of the year he has gone above and beyond to help within the school community. He stayed until late into the evening helping at our open evenings and he has been a buddy to some more anxious students in the year group. He has recently participated in Bromfords Got Talent, producing a standout drum solo. Ben always collects his stamps in all of his lessons and has 100% attendance showing how he values the importance of participating fully in school life.

June: Rylee
Rylee has a real passion for fundraising. For the past 4 years he has been organising a charity football match at Roots Hall in Southend where he raises funds for various different charities, with this year’s funds going towards Mind and the Samaritans. This takes a massive amount of time each year to organise and he manages to balance this effectively with his studies in school. He has managed to raise in excess of £8000 over the time that he has organised this event which is a prenominal amount of money for good causes.
