Attendance and DfE Additional Data

Dear Parent/Carer,

Thank you for your continued support throughout this period of remote learning.  It has been really pleasing to see and hear about positive engagement across all year groups, with staff regularly sharing success stories and celebrating student`s efforts.

In order to maintain this success, there will now be a more robust monitoring of attendance which will allow for any necessary support to be implemented for students.  Registers will be taken for each lesson which will be saved onto Edulink and from Monday 18th January, all parents/carers will be able to see hourly lesson attendance for their child/ren.  Please note that there may be times where staff are delayed in submitting a register if they are teaching back to back lessons or supporting their own children, so you are advised to check at the end of the day for an overview of your child’s engagement.

To further support remote learning, the Department for Education are offering opportunities to increase mobile data allowances for children and young people, who do not have access to a fixed broadband connection and cannot afford the additional data needed to access remote learning.  The full eligibility criteria can be found via the link below so please ensure that you have read this information before contacting the school on office@bromfords.essex.sch.uk.
